Anti-warrior in factions?
I have a small problem. I was going to make a new char to factions, anti-warrior for PvE to kill those pesky hack&slash-type of little mobs.
I was thinking for these skills as the main anti-warrior skills:
-Empathy
-Ineptitude[e]*
-Riposte*
-Deadly Riposte*
-Clumsiness
-Signet of Midnight[e]*
But then i noticed that *-marked skills are prophecies only and there isnt any anti-warrior elites other than ineptitude and signet of midnight (right?)
So im pretty screwed with this build..
I was also thinking about making a dmg dealer anti-caster interrupt build but i had the same problem with that build aswell (migraine or power block = both prophecies only)
So, does anyone have any suggestions for anti-warrior/caster dmg dealing builds?

Can't you make a prophecies character first, then take that into Cantha? ( if you have CH1 ) I think you can use those skills then

Those skills in the list are of course great, and it is indeed a pity that those skills you maked with * are only available in GW: P
However you seem to have overlooked a great many other good warrior shut down skills. Remember to shut down a warrior you dont necesarilly have to damage him each time he hits or blind him, there are other ways. You can also take away his adrenaline (most powerful warrior skills are adrenaline after all) or cripple/slow him and put him under health degen, so he cant chase and harass your party members. So I suggest you took a look at these skills also:
Ancestor's Visage
Soothing Images
Image Of Remorse
Crippling Anguish[e]
Imagined Burden/Shared Burden [e]
(great heath degen skills: Conjure Phantasm/Conjure Niughtmare/Recurring Insecurity[e])
All of the above are faction/core skills.
As you might notice most of the above skills are from illusion attribute, when I played my mesmer through Prophecies campain I used an illusion build almost exclusively. It was great fun and easy build to play, spread the degen around with conjure phantsm and put clumsiness on warriors when ever it recharges (10s) As elite I usually brought clumsiness or crippling anguish.
It's also worth to mention that necromancer have many anti-warrior hexes, might be worth to take a look at as secondary profession?
I hope I gave you some ideas, good luck with your anti-warrior mesmer

Maybe I missed it but where is Image of Remorse???
This skill is absolutely fantastic. Good Degen plus they take dmg.
My vote for first skill most likely to be nurfed.

thank you, that post was really helpfull LordConan, but i am making a PvE char, not PvP, so snaring or adrenaline denial isnt so good.
but i quess ill do an illusion mesmer (me/n)with:
-clumsiness
-conjure phantasm
-images of remorse
-kitah's burden
-mantra of recovery
-enfeebling touch (if they try to hit me)
-parasitic bond (for even somekind of a selfheal)
-res signet

Unless I'm wrong, other than the elites, Prophecies skills will be available from Canthan Skill Trainers under the following conditions:
1. You obviously must have Guild Wars Prophecies.
2. You have unlocked the skills previously. Due to the recent update that allows for previously unlocked skills to be bought from any trainer for any character.
This should apply accross the sea, if you have both games and not just factions. And it has to be a Merged account.
As for the Elites, you'll have to go into Tyria and cap them like normal. But that wont be too hard as a new group of runners will probably be starting up soon after release. Running people from Lion's Arch to Droks.

Inepti/Clumsi is about all you need for anti-war in Prophecies. In Factions, Inepti/IoR/Conjure/Cume Pain seems to be working pretty well. Also Shacks, Empathy, and snares. By the way, you know you can Wrack deny the fighter mobs rite? Pretty easy.

man that's so confusing... so there's two different skill sets and the core set aye...
Every time I hear someone talk about factions... i get more and more excited.... ArenaNet is doing a good job at teasing us...
